Are classes open to the public?

Classes held at schools are only open to children attending those schools. If we do not yet offer classes at your school please let us know and we will be happy to connect with your program director or principal. 

Classes held at community centers are open to members of the community unless otherwise noted in the class description. 

How long are the classes?

Baby Boogie,  Toddler & Me, and Tiny Toes classes are 30-minutes. All other Tippi Toes® classes are 45-minutes.

Are classes held if a school is out for the day?

There is no class held on school holidays. Please visit our calendar to see our closings for public locations. 

Inclement Weather Policy

Tippi Toes classes follow school district closings for the county in which the class is held.  For example: If you attend a class in Davidson County (school or public location) and the county decides to close for inclement weather, Tippi Toes classes held in Davidson County are canceled.

What is the recommended attire for class?

We encourage each dancer to wear dance attire or a Tippi Toes® t-shirt with leggings, and ballet slippers. Hip-Hop/Jazz dancers should wear non-restrictive clothing and tennis shoes or black slip-on jazz shoes.

Please label your child’s clothes, shoes, and bags with their first and last names. 

We just found out about your classes. Is it too late to join?

We have open enrollment throughout the year, so it is never too late to join a class. Click on Class Locations & Schedule in the menu above to see where and when we are hosting classes.

What does the enrollment fee cover?

The $40 annual enrollment fee covers supplies used in class, technology, and some of our administrative expenses.

How is the monthly tuition handled?

Tuition is automatically charged on the 1st of each month. Additional tuition information is available on our Fees & Policies page.

What happens if we join mid-month?

Your tuition will be prorated accordingly.

How far in advance do I have to cancel classes in order to not be charged?

In order to cancel, you must let us know via email,, by the 25th of the previous month. Refunds will not be provided if a cancelation is made after the first week of class. 

How do parents receive updates about classes?

All communication is sent via email, so we ask that you check your email regularly for emails from us. We occasionally end up in the spam/junk folder so please check that folder as well. It is best if you add as a contact in your email client. 

Do you offer recitals?

Yes, we have two recitals each year. They are typically held in December and May. Please see our recital page for more information.
