Featured Franchise Owner – Miss Jeanie
Every month we like to highlight one of our terrific franchise owners to hear their story and how they got started. This month, we’re speaking to Jeanie Carr who owns her franchise in Monterey Park, CA.
Where did you grow up and how did you come to be in Monterey Park?.
I grew up all over Southern California. Mainly in Moreno Valley and Lake Arrowhead.
How long have you had your Tippi Toes Franchise?
1 year
Did you ever think you’d be a business owner?
I always hoped and wished I could own my own business, but never honestly thought I would.
What made you decide to choose this business?
I love to dance, and came from the Franchise Industry so I decided to look into a dance franchise. I found a couple different companies, but Tippi Toes won me over based on the passion of the founders, Sarah and Megan.
What advice do you have for other people considering starting a business?
Be willing to step out of your comfort zone. The beginning is not easy but try new things and make mistakes while you are building.
What is the best thing about being a Tippi Toes Franchise owner?
The passionate women I get a chance to know and grow with. All of the Tippi Toes Owners are in this for the right reasons. We all LOVE being a part of children’s lives and making an impact every day.
What is the most challenging thing about being a business owner?
Letting go of certain aspects of the day to day to be able to grow a business rather than only dance with kids.
If you could go back in time what advice would you give yourself?
Have more confidence and build faster! People LOVE Tippi Toes and what we bring to these children’s lives… I had a lot of self doubt and second guessing my first year but, after receiving so much great feedback from parents, I have more confidence in my business!
